Internet / World Wide Web

The Internet was created in the 1960's as a platform to help government researchers share information. ARPANET (The Advanced Research Projects Agency)  was created by the Department of Defense. The Cold War played a role in the production of the Internet, looking for ways to share information if there was a nuclear war. Nowadays, according to BBVA, the Internet used access libraries, encyclopedias, news archives, and other information from around world.  

The World Wide Web was created in the 1989 by Tim Berners-Lee, an Oxford University graduate. The World Wide Web is a collection of hyperlinks that take you to different websites across the Internet. Berners-Lee created the World Wide Web so that information could be shared via computers. In the early days of the internet different information was on different computers. 

The Internet and the World Wide Web are two separate systems. The Internet is just the platform in which the World Wide Web is used. The World Wide Web are a set of link on the Internet. The Internet the form in which information is shared from computer to computer.

The first website was created by Tim Berners-Lee on August 6, 1991 and is still up and running today. The link to it is http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html.

       Step Brothers is one of my all time favorite movies and debut of Prestige Worldwide has to be one of the funniest movie clips of all time. From boats n hoes to crashing their dads sailboat it’s a classic.   Using Adobe Illustrator I put myself in between Dale and Brennan in their performance of boats n hoes. It was a little tricky to color match the image of myself with the slightly blurry image of the scene that I could find off the internet.  I started by layering myself into the picture with my original image. I then added different hues and saturations to match myself to the colors of the scene. The hardest part of this project for me was having my pants cut off where the table is. I don't know why it was so difficult for me but I eventually figured it out. This was by far my favorite project we did because of the freedom we were given to pick any movie or show we wanted. Autoscopy

      The autoscopy project turned out being a lot of fun to create. I like how we had to incorporate more than just two pictures into our work. I've recently watched a few shows that had to do with exploration and space so I took a lot of inspiration from those and wanted create something within that realm.     I chose a few images that would help me accomplish my goal. The background is a picture of a road within a forest used to show earth. I then replaced the sunny sky with a picture of the stars to show where I was heading to. After that I placed added a picture of myself. I stood in that position to try and emulate what a spaceship looks like. After, I used a picture of a rocket taking off to show the trusters at full power, blasting me into space. Canvas Project

  Final Work:    I used Dreamweaver using HTML5 canvas to create a cartoon version of Baby Yoda out of code. I decided on Baby Yoda because he is my favorite character from the Disney show, The Mandalorian. I picked to use a picture of him in a cradle so I could show his small frame. I decided on replicating a cartoon version of him because I thought it would be more fun than a life-like one.      What I found difficult was the aspect of having to layer code. I would write code and it wouldn't appear on the canvas. So I would have to go back and copy the code and put it before the code I want it to be in front of. What made my artwork successful was that I was not afraid to try things I was not comfortable with, such as using bezier curves to create Baby Yoda's sleeve.
